Protection of Personal Data

a) Data Controller

 

In accordance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("Law No. 6698" or "the Law"), your personal data will be processed by ASKON DEMİR ÇELİK SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş. ("Company") as the data controller, within the scope described below.

 

b) Purpose of Processing Personal Data

 

Your personal data/sensitive personal data collected within the scope of your job application will hereinafter be referred to as "personal data," and will be processed for the following purposes:

 

• Evaluation of your job application request and suitability for the relevant position, which you have disclosed to us,

 

• Conducting and concluding recruitment processes in accordance with our company's human resources policies, making candidate classifications, evaluating candidates' qualifications and competencies, and contacting you within this scope,

 

• Ensuring the legal and commercial security of our company and individuals in a business relationship with our company,

 

• Determining and implementing our company's commercial and business strategies, as well as developing and improving the recruitment principles implemented by our company,

 

• Processing necessary work carried out by our relevant business units to realize the commercial activities conducted by the Company and related business processes.

 

c) Personal Data to be Processed

 

• Identity data; Your name, surname, date and place of birth, gender, marital status, citizenship information

 

• Contact data; Your email address, address, mobile phone number

 

• Sensitive personal data; Health status related to your health, disability status information,

 

• Education data; Educational status, certificate and diploma information, expertise information, foreign language skills, education and skills, seminars and courses attended, computer knowledge, examination information

 

• Work experience data; Total experience, employment status and title, work experiences (company names, periods worked, job descriptions)

 

• Visual and auditory data; Photographs and voice recordings belonging to real persons,

 

• Others; Driver's license data, competencies, salary expectations, military service status, reference information (name, surname, title, workplace, phone, email) and any kind of Word, Excel, presentation files, information specified in the job application form that you have added to your resume.

 

It is your responsibility to inform and obtain explicit consent(s) from the reference person/people whose personal data (name, surname, phone, email, etc.) you have specified in your resume.

 

d) Parties to Whom and for What Purpose the Processed Personal Data May be Transferred

 

Your collected personal data may be limitedly transferred to legally authorized public institutions and private legal entities, suppliers, and (in case of obtaining your explicit consent for your sensitive personal data) our business partners, shareholders, subsidiaries, and group companies within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes stipulated in Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 6698, for the purposes of evaluating your job application request and suitability for the relevant position, conducting and concluding recruitment processes in accordance with our company's human resources policies, scheduling appointments for candidates at an English exam center, sending personality inventories to candidates through the system, if necessary, obtaining work permits for candidates, directing candidates to health centers for health checks, and contacting you within this scope, as well as ensuring the legal and commercial security of our company and individuals in a business relationship with our company, determining and implementing our company's commercial and business strategies, and developing and improving the recruitment principles implemented by our company.

e) Method and Legal Basis of Personal Data Collection

 

The Company collects and processes personal data through both fully or partially automated methods and non-automated methods that are part of the data recording system. This includes direct communication through phone calls, physical completion of forms, and direct automated systems (such as other websites that enable job applications, our company website, data integration, and telephone channels).

 

The Company collects personal data based on the legal grounds specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, which include:

 

• Explicit provision in the laws,

• Necessity to fulfill legal obligations,

• Directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract and necessary for processing,

• Necessity for the legitimate interests pursued by the Company,

• Publicly disclosed by you,

• Necessity for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right,

• Based on your explicit consent.

 

The collected personal data will be retained for the duration necessary to evaluate job processes and to be used for recruitment activities within our Human Resources department, provided that your explicit consent is obtained for sensitive personal data.


f) Rights of the Data Subject as Stated in Article 11 of Law No. 6698

 

As data subjects, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to the Company through the methods specified below, the Company will process your request as soon as possible and no later than thirty days, depending on the nature of the request. No fee will be charged for responses up to ten pages. For each page exceeding ten pages, a processing fee of 1 Turkish Lira will be charged. If the response to the application is provided in a recording medium such as a CD or flash drive, the fee requested by the Company will not exceed the cost of the recording medium.

 

Within this scope, data subjects have the following rights:

 

• To learn whether personal data is being processed,

• To request information if personal data has been processed,

• To learn the purpose of the processing of personal data and whether they are being used in accordance with their purpose,

• To be informed about the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, whether domestically or internationally,

• To request the correction of personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate and to request that the correction be notified to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

• To request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring the processing cease to exist, despite being processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 and other relevant laws, and to request that this be notified to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,

• To object to a result against oneself arising from the analysis of personal data solely through automated systems,

• To demand compensation for damages in case of unlawful processing of personal data.

 

You can submit your request related to exercising the aforementioned rights in written form, in Turkish, according to Article 13, Paragraph 1 of Law No. 6698 and the Communiqué on Principles and Procedures for Application to the Data Controller No. 30356 dated 10.03.2018, or using the registered electronic mail (KEP) address, secure electronic signature, mobile signature, or the electronic mail address previously notified to and registered in our system. The Company reserves the right to verify your identity before responding.


In your application:

 

a) Your full name, surname, and, if the application is in writing, your signature,

 

b) Your Republic of Turkey identification number (T.C. kimlik numarası) for Turkish citizens, your nationality if you are a foreigner, your passport number, or, if applicable, your identification number,

 

c) Your residential or business address for notification purposes,

 

d) Your preferred email address, telephone, and fax number, if available,

 

e) The subject of your request, and if necessary, any relevant information and documents related to the subject should be attached to the application.

 

You can submit your written applications, along with the necessary documents, to our company as the data controller at the following address: HACIEYÜPLÜ MH. AKÇA CAD. NO:149 MERKEZEFENDİ DENİZLİ/TURKEY.

 

For applications via email, you can send them to the email address info@askondemir.com.

 

Depending on the nature of your request, it is essential to provide complete and accurate information and documents to us.

 

If the requested information and documents are not provided properly, there may be delays in conducting the necessary investigations by the company in response to your request. In this case, the company reserves its legal rights. Therefore, it is necessary to send your application with all the required information and documents according to the nature of your request.
