When impact steels are used in structures subjected to heavy loads, it allows for thickness reduction and the construction of lighter buildings. By using impact steels instead of general structural steel S355 (St52-3), there can be approximately a 70% advantage.

COR-TEN steels are steels that exhibit high corrosion resistance compared to mild steel and low-carbon steels in the atmosphere. These steels, which show 30% higher mechanical properties than conventional steels, have resulted in a reduction in thickness and therefore a decrease in steel weight in structural steels.
COR-TEN steels are low-alloy high-strength steels. These steels contain less than 0.2% carbon and alloy elements such as Cu, Cr, Ni, P, Si, Mn, which will not exceed a total of 3-5%.
Usage Area
In addition to being resistant to atmospheric corrosion and having good mechanical properties, COR-TEN steels are very suitable for bridges, water pipes, exterior applications in buildings, agricultural machinery, railway wagons, oil wells, port constructions, petrochemical equipment, boilers, chimneys, and outdoor artistic works. Nowadays, they are particularly preferred in exterior cladding of buildings.
Impact-Hardened Steels for Working Environments
Among high-manganese steels, X120Mn12 steels are particularly interesting, offering superior performance in working environments and high wear resistance compared to other wear plates. These steels possess high wear resistance and harden upon impact. When subjected to wear resistance, our product reaches a hardness three times higher than its initial hardness.
