Supply Chain Management

Supply chain management has become a key driver of competitive advantage in today’s business world. Factors such as globalization, technological advancements, and changing consumer expectations require our company to manage its supply chain in a more efficient and flexible manner.

Supply chain management is not merely a logistics process; it is also a strategic competitive advantage and is of critical importance for standing out in the market.

In order to minimize supply continuity and security risks, we work with numerous suppliers both domestically and internationally. All domestic and international procurement processes are managed by our Purchasing Department. Supplier visits are organized, and suppliers are engaged as partners in line with our strategic objectives.

Supplier Evaluation and Selection

As Askon Demir, we classify our suppliers in accordance with the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Model. We evaluate our suppliers in line with our sustainability strategy and expectations.

Supplier evaluation criteria include:

• Capability and flexibility
  (Referred to as capability and competence in subcontracted service supplier evaluations)

• Product and Service Quality

• Sustainability and Global Principles

Supplier evaluations are conducted through surveys or on-site audits. On-site audits are monitored through structured visit and meeting plans. Supplier performance is monitored on an annual basis.

In the upcoming period, we aim to initiate Supplier Development activities to expand the scope of collaboration with our suppliers, improve their processes, and increase the number of suppliers we work with.

Supplier Satisfaction

As Askon Demir, we conducted our first supplier satisfaction survey in 2023. In addition to supplier performance evaluations, another issue we consider equally important is the perception of our company among our suppliers.

Improving this perception—shaped by the work and collaborations we carry out together—offers significant opportunities to develop our business volume in alignment with our sustainable growth strategy.

Starting from 2024, we aim to digitally monitor supplier perception through the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) module integrated into our CRM system.
