PERFORM700 High-Strength Steel Properties and Areas of Use

By using PERFORM700, we ensure that our products become stronger, lighter, and more efficient. By switching to PERFORM700 high-strength steel and optimizing the design according to the product upgrade objective, potential weight savings of up to 40% can be achieved.

In basket-mounted cranes, it has been observed that products can be redesigned and reach their full potential by using higher-strength steel. In order to increase vertical and horizontal reach without compromising load capacity, the weight of each boom section must be reduced. This can be achieved by reducing the amount of material used in the boom sections, taking into account the boom’s resistance to shear and torsional forces.

High-strength steels used in agricultural vehicle manufacturing (PERFORM 700) also enable the production of stronger and lighter equipment (up to 40% lighter products) with less material and lower product costs. The reduction in soil productivity caused by heavy agricultural machinery has led new-generation farmers to prefer vehicles manufactured with PERFORM700. Repeated use of heavy equipment on the same land can damage soil structure, preventing it from retaining the water, nutrients, and air necessary for plant roots. Thanks to high-strength steels, crop development can be faster and more efficient.

The areas of use of high-strength steels in agricultural machinery are as follows; machine structures, dumpers, containers, trailer chassis, machine frames, sprayers, body panels, protective areas, wear parts, etc.

Another advantage of using high-strength steels in agricultural machine manufacturing is that, in addition to reducing machine weight, they increase durability. One of the most valuable features of these steels (High-Strength Steel – PERFORM 700) is their resistance to damage under harsh working conditions and their ability to easily return to their original shape thanks to their high-strength properties, compared to standard steels. The greater durability of high-strength steels means longer product service life. By upgrading their machines to stronger steel, farmers gain significant advantages over competitors by using more efficient and more durable agricultural machinery. Thanks to high-strength steels, the construction of agricultural machinery can be lightened, reducing fuel consumption—one of the most important cost items—allowing farmers to save costs while also increasing yield.

Conclusion

Steel can be used in thinner dimensions without compromising strength
Less welding is required in the production of parts and vehicles
Lower fuel consumption for the same job – carrying the same load with fewer trips
Lower carbon dioxide emissions throughout the entire service life
OEMs can improve their environmental profiles and gain a competitive advantage
